I was born and raised in Toronto. As a native of Toronto, I attended the Faculty of Dentistry University of Toronto, graduating as a general dentist in 1988. After graduation, I did an internship at Sunnybrook Hospital, which took me to Big Trout Lake First Nations Reserve to provide dental care. Little did I know then, but I would meet my future husband, a commercial pilot and native of Timmins there!
After graduating from the University of Manitoba’s Orthodontic Specialty program, my husband and I made the decision to call Timmins our home for the past 28 years.
In addition to my practice of orthodontics, I have always been involved in organized dentistry, serving as President of the Ontario Dental Association from 2017-2018. I currently am the Ontario Representative to the Canadian Dental Association Board.
I have always placed importance on community involvement, and have volunteered on several committees and fundraising events for community projects, such as those that benefitted Northern College, the Alzheimer’s Society, and Community Living Timmins.
My favorite pastimes are kayaking, cross country skiing and playing violin in the Timmins Symphony Orchestra! I also love spending time with family and friends around my dining room table!
