Starting Orthodontic Treatment
Starting orthodontic treatment can feel a little overwhelming when you are aren’t sure what to expect. But don’t worry, we are here to guide you every step of the way!
When you come in for your first consultation, we will begin with a comprehensive exam. This will include taking x-rays, photos, and impressions of your teeth so we can develop a personalized treatment plan for you. This is your opportunity to have your questions answered and explore with Dr. Visconti what your options are.
Once treatment begins, you’ll have regular check-ups to adjust your braces or aligners and to monitor your progress. These visits usually happen every 4 to 6 weeks.
In between visits with Dr. Visconti, it is important to follow the care instructions we provide, such as avoiding certain foods and keeping up with oral hygiene. These steps will help to ensure your treatment stays on track.
